Use a graphite pencil to darken a portion of a piece of paper. Generously rub the finger-pad across the graphite on the paper until the fingerpad is fully covered in graphite down to the first knuckle.
Note: the pinkies are the hardest to see so pick any other finger if possible
Place a piece of clear tape onto your darkened finger section: press gently capturing the entire pattern. Peel and stick it on white paper.
A good print shows clear ridges and good contrast. View the examples of prints below. If you can’t see the pattern in your fingerprint, repeat the process.
Take a picture of the fingerprint with your phone’s camera. Make sure the image is clear and not blurry. Zoom in on the picture and double check that you can see the pattern of the fingerprint.
